How do I deregister my laptop from iMessages? I have been receiving messages to my laptop instead of my phone. I have an android phone and have never had an iPhone. A couple of people in my contacts have iPhones, and sometimes when they text me, I don't receive the text. I do receive a message on my laptop. I have no idea why this happening or how to stop it. I don't want to receive texts on my laptop.

I get messages to deregister iMessage I get messages every day like this : Use code *** to deregister iMessage. Reply STOP to cancel. I wonder what I'm dealing with? Is there any danger and how can I fix the problem so that I don't get such messages anymore. [Edited by Moderator]

Disable Messages in iCloud on the Mac:

Open: Messages
Go to: Messages menu (top of screen)
Select: Preferences...
Select: @ iMessage (middle tab)
Uncheck: Enable Messages in iCloud
