System Data

Ever since I have had my iPhone 14 Max Pro 256gb I have had issues with my system data being excessive. I have found if I turn my phone off it goes down but always increases over the day. Is there something I can do to stop it?

System data I recently purchased an iPhone 14 plus 128GB. Every time I check my iPhone storage the system data is taking up at least 90GB of storage, if not more. Everything I have read online says this will go down eventually but it has been like this for over a month now. This is ridiculous there is no point in having a phone that will only allow me to use around 30GB of storage or less. I have tried everything suggested to get the number down and nothing is working. This is absolute bullsh*t.

Extremely high system data on iPhone storage Hi, I just got a 1TB iPhone 14 Pro Max. My iPhone storage keeps maxing out because it is showing that system data is around 900+GB. The iPhone barely has 70GB file and App data. So I don’t understand what is causing this extremely high system data. It clears up if I restart the phone. But it seems to be happening (maxing out) on a daily basis.

Iphone 14 Pro System data changes from 12GB to over 60. Any theories? So I have a 128 GB Iphone 14 pro. The other day, looking at storage, over 60gb was under "Other System Data." I did the usual. Deleted old messages, clear safari, etc. It did nothing to change it. So I turned the phone off and restarted it. When it came back on, System data was down to 12gb. Then again today, it changed to over 60gb. Again, I shut the phone down, and once it restarted, system data was once again at 12gb. Anyone encounter this issue before, even on previous models? If so or not, what are your thoughts, theories or suggestions for fixing this?

That is usually a problem with a corrupted file or files, usually a photo, video or music file.

Have you updated to iOS 16.1 yet?

I have the same problem. Mine is over 450 Gb of system data which is like 90% of my phones memory. It’s unacceptable for a new phone to do this.
