Apple locked our Phone for over a month and will not respond.

Apple has locked our phone due to too many tries using the wrong passcode. In fact, Verizon was trying sell us a new phone and "they" got it locked. It has been since September 6, 2022 and we are not able to use our new phone. Apple will not respond with a solution.

You are pasting something that looks like reference to carrier lock.

Only the carrier that has the phone locked can unlock the phone for use with another carrier. This is not something Apple can do.

Sounds like you have multiple issues going on here. And the information provided is not all that clear.

There are several different things that 'lock' or 'unlock' can mean.

With regard to your passcode, as others have commented, Apple cannot and does not lock you out. You (or Verizon) locks you out when you forget your passcode and enter incorrectly a certain number of times. So is this where it all started? You did not remember your iPhone passcode?

Do you know the Apple ID and credentials that your phone is signed into?

Has Verizon been your carrier the whole time you have owned this phone?

You mentioned 11 day wait.. Is this because you don't know your Apple ID credentials and started account recovery with Apple?

Did you sign into these forums using the same Apple ID?

  • When is my device eligible for unlocking?
  • Your postpaid device is eligible to be unlocked by a participating provider after you have fulfilled the applicable service contract, completed the device installment plan or paid an early termination fee.

I have always had an Apple mobile (20 years?) and never missed a payment, NEVER. I want Apple to formally address this situation by contacting us on the phone.

We have tried all of your suggestions both ourselves and with the help of both Verizon and an Apple. No one can get in. They say we have to wait until Apple Contacts us. On two occasions Apple set a date and time for them to call us and they never called. We returned to an Apple Store and were told we have to wait another11 days. We most frustrated because we cannot understand why Apple can shut down our phone, that we paid good money to own, and not let us use it for what now is over one month.

Apple cannot shut down your phone, only you can.

If you forgot your passcode, simply reset the device by connecting it to a computer.

If you have forgotten your password and are in activation lock, visit iforgot.apple.com to reset your password.

If you have already started an account recovery request in regards to activation lock, you'll have to wait for the process to finish, which can take a long time.

Apple locked our Phone for over a month and will not respond.
