FaceTime worked on iPad up until today. Now when opened up, it asks for apple sign in but won’t let me. Just keeps spinning with a verifying note. Have rebooted, removed then put back. Strange

FaceTime always worked on iPad mini until this morning. Now it comes up Sign In with Apple ID but won’t let me enter anything. Also verifying is on top but the wheel is just spinning. Tried rebooting etc

Hi Assistanceplsem,

For help with activating FaceTime on your iPad, test the steps below found in the article here: If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime

"Check your device settings

  1. Make sure that you’re connected to a cellular data or Wi-Fi network.
  2. If you're using an iPhone, you need SMS messaging to activate your phone number with iMessage and FaceTime. Depending on your carrier, you might be charged for this SMS.
  3. Go to Settings > General > Date & Time and make sure that your time zone is set correctly."

Be sure to complete the remaining steps including waiting 24 hours for activation. Create a backup and update your iPad with the steps here: Update your iPhone or iPad
