Ah, i see. I was anticipating a full keyboard as would be a available when accessing a website. As Idris and Lawrence have stated above, if the input is not accepted when simply inputting the numbers, it seems it would be an issue for the developer to fix.
That’s a bug in the app. It has called up the wrong keyboard, or it isn’t inserting the / automatically as you enter just the numbers. Note that you have to enter leading zeros for values less than 10; for example 06092014 for June 9 2014

I just tried setting up the app. It took my birthdate without any problems even without slashes.. But I think Lawrence hit on your problem. You need the leading zero for single-digit days/months.
Worked this time. I had tried it with the zero before. Anyway. I'm into the app and going now. Thanks.
This is a screen shot. My keyboard options do not include the /
Have you tried simpy entering the numbers without the slashes?
yes. rejects the input
Why is mine the only iPhone that can't enter mm/dd/yyyy? If it was a developer problem, it's audacity, they would have had it fixed by now.
Yours is not the only phone, but the format for input is the responsibility of the app developer.
Unless you are using a different keyboard layout, I’m not sure I understand the lack of the / symbol, as in 11/21/1975.
Glad you got it working.
