Safari suddenly stopped working. It says it can't access this site, no matter what site it is! Help!!!

I understand Safari suddenly stopped loading websites. The following Apple Support documents offer several suggestions:

If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn't working as expected - Apple Support
Sometimes, merely restarting the Mac resolves the problem. Try that also.
