MacBook Air iMessages

How do i delete a number from the contactable at section in system preferences. I want to change the number for my iMessages but it won’t allow me to and won’t let me delete the number either.

How do I remove greyed-out business numbers from iMessage contact suggestions? When I go to start a new iMessage and type in c to reach one of my contacts I’m inundated with a list of greyed out numbers “Calluson..” the numbers are all businesses I’ve had recent contact with. MacBook Air Messages not showing Contact Name When I receive a text message the notification banner on my MacBook no longer shows the contact name, only the phone number. I do not see a setting anywhere to control the action.

iMessage only works with 3 of my contacts (000)000-0000 is not registered with IMessage Just got this new Macbook Pro recently and wanted to take advantage of the Imessage feature on it. Seems like what ever i do I just cannot figure it out. I know my Apple Id is not the issue as i can log into iCloud okay. Here's the kicker, I have 3 individual in my contact out of 500 contacts that i can send text to without an issue. It's the other 497 that its giving me grief with the message that states those other phone numbers (497) are not registered with IMessage. I hope someone can give clarity to this issue. I have scoured the internet within the last 3 days trying to find out if anyone has as solution, but it seems its illusive. I am pulling my hair out on this issue. Have you tried removing the number from your Apple ID?
