Spotify & Waze not working on Carplay

I have a 2019 honda accord and my waze app and spotify app are just showing as a black screen on carplay with no info. the apps on my phone still work, but my car display does not show any maps or currently played songs.

Spotify and Google Maps are blank on Apple CarPlay in the last week, Spotify and Google Maps are not displaying on screen when i plug my phone in my car using Apple CarPlay. All other apps like Apple Music, Maps etc display … but NOT Spotify and Google Maps. I can hear music from Spotify, but unable to see it on screen. My iOS is updated, so are all my maps. carplay starts on home screen and not music since ios 18.1 on iphone 15 plus The day of ios 18.1 my carplay now starts on home screen where all the tiles are and may also start on apple maps with music and calendar. This is a issue because Maps uses data if the screen is on maps. My radio worked fine before this update. I have tried to unlink and remove the radio and the iPhone from the radio also forget network settings, removed music app from iPhone and reinstall. Reset the radio. I use the Shortcut app to start my music to play automatically which still works but on the wrong screen. I had no issues with ios 18 at all. Reddit has a lot of people who have the same issues.

Spotify Not Showing on Apple CarPlay After Latest Update Is anyone else having trouble with Spotify not appearing on Apple CarPlay after the latest update? My iPhone is connected, other apps work fine, but Spotify is either missing or unresponsive. I’ve tried reinstalling the app, restarting my phone, and even resetting CarPlay settings, but no luck.
