iMac Java 8 to 6 - please help!

I'm running El Capitan on my iMac. I have Java 8 installed but need to reinstall 6.

Can anyone help?

Snow leopard to el capitan upgrade installs but doesn't upgrade. My old iMac early 2006 still functions well although over the years has got itself a bit confused. I was running el capitan OS 10.11. I deleted everything from the hard drive to do a clean installation of Snow Leopard (10.6) and then upgrade online back to El Capitan. Snow Leopard installed fine from my disc and I found El Capitan on the Apple store (5.6gb) and downloaded it. The problem is that it runs through the installation OK in just a few minutes but fails to upgrade the system and the imac is still on 10.6 Snow Leopard. Just to clarify that I am aware of the security issues with these old imacs and do not use it for anything personal. Can anyone help me here please?

Can't install El Capitan on my 2015 Mac I have been dealing with a problem about imac for a week.I tried to reinstall El-Capitan software on My computer which was produced in 2015. You can get Java 6 for El Capitan via Apple's download site.
