using physical SIM and e-SIM on iPhone XR

I have an iPhone XR (which has 1 physical SIM and 1 e-SIM). Can I have both a US based SIM and and EU (Germany) SIM on the same phone?

If the iPhone is unlocked, yes. You can have SIM cards and eSims from different countries.
