Car Bluetooth issues auto connecting for no reason

In the last 2 months my phone will auto connect to my 2 cars even when nothing is happening. My cars auto change from the radio to my phone like I’m on a call. I noticed it first started when the “you forgot your device” (AirPods and iPad) notification but now it also happens when I have no notifications or anything. I try hanging up and it doesn’t do anything. I try closing all apps and it still doesn’t do anything. It’s really annoying and it just “ends the call” whenever it wants. It’s happening on both my wife’s iPhone and my iPhone and in 2 different cars.

Hello Tim Jennings,

If you don't want your iPhone to automatically connect to your car, you'll want to unpair it with these steps:

To unpair a Bluetooth accessory, tap Settings > Bluetooth, find the device you want to unpair, and tap the info button  , then Forget this Device. This will remove the accessory from the list of available Bluetooth devices.
To add the Bluetooth accessory to your device again, place it back in discovery mode and repeat the steps above to pair it.

You'll find these steps here: Pair a third-party Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Take care.
