Why do my apps/widgets have shadows? How can I fix this to make my home screen look neater?

I was trying to redo my home screen so I changed my wallpaper and then these ugly shadows appeared. None of the other home screens with darker wallpapers have this shadow so it’s not the color. (also I was watching Stephanie soo lol)

Picture-in-Picture has a shadow and you can’t change that. App names will have a shadow if your wallpaper is too light to avoid the app name being unreadable, so you will need to change your wallpaper to fix this.
