How do I get messages to send as iMessage it won’t connect to my phone number and I’ve had this phone since March it is now October…

My phone won’t send iMessages to any user randomly all day today

iPhone 12, iOS 16

Wondering if you receive an error message that would point to the cause of the situation.


You might want to check that you are signed in (to your iPhone) with your Apple ID:

How to: Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support


Also:

To use iMessage or FaceTime, you need to activate them on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. 

If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support

Your iPhone needs a strong wi-fi connection, and the correct settings:

(NB: Messages send over cellular to (non-Apple) Android phones

(and also if wi-fi is not available) and if your carrier plan permits, Charges may apply).
