Help. How do I unlock my iMac after failing to enter correct password?

I presume you are using Monterey, not Mohave.

Thanks, but been there. My login screen doesn't have the ? Don't know why. First login on new iMac 24" with Mohave. Didn't record new password correctly i assume and am getting locked out.

Searching for other options
