Security:

Gatekeeper: App Store and identified developers

System Integrity Protection: Enabled

Antivirus software: Apple, Intego, and Malwarebytes

The first to do is uninstall Intego.

MalwareBytes is a respectable application, but should not run continuously on the background; only run it manually if and when you have reason to suspect there may be some malware in play.

This should be mandatory reading to any user concerned with securing their macs (ie, all of us...):

Effective defenses against malware and other threats

You have an old USB 2 drive connected. This may affect performance. When not needed/in use, consider unmounting it.

You have a LOT of old stuff - maybe going back to 2013 or earlier.

As you upgrade your system in place, old extensions, daemons and plugins accumulate.

At some point - usually the best opportunity is yearly as a brand new OS is released - it pays to start fresh: make two backups, erase, install and then migrate ONLY the user accounts. Install only the application you really need and use.

You have these:

Plugin: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Flip4Mac WMV Plugin.plugin

Plugin: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/SharePointBrowserPlugin.plugin

Plugin: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/AmazonMP3DownloaderPlugin101750.plugin

Plugin: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/RealPlayer Plugin.plugin

Plugin: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Silverlight.plugin

Plugin: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/OfficeLiveBrowserPlugin.plugin

Plugin: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/DirectorShockwave.plugin

Plugin: ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/RealPlayer Plugin.plugin

Plugin: ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Stamps.com.plugin

Several of these have been deprecated and have no support at all in any browser - flip4mac, silverlight, realplayer, shockwave...

[Not Loaded] Soundflower.kext - com.Cycling74.driver.Soundflower (1.0.0 - SDK 10.8)

This was great, but does not work in any recent macOS (unless you install 2.0b2); a much more modern and free replacement exists (BlackHole Audio Driver)

The number of daemons is easily the highest I have seen on any of these reports - and intego is responsible for a good chunk of them. See above regarding accumulating stuff.

[Loaded] com.koingosw.maccleansehelper.CleanupReminder.plist (Koingo Software, Inc. - installed 2022-09-24)

[Loaded] com.koingosw.maccleansehelper.MonitorTrash.plist (Koingo Software, Inc. - installed 2022-09-24)

Never installer any "cleaners" - see the link posted above.

The number of User Login Items is also huge, and many of them running. This may be ok, but may also be using a lot of resources, perhaps unnecessarily.

Finally, there is also a large amount of crashes and "high cpu use" situations in the last 30 days.

My recommendation is simple: start fresh. There is so much in there.

I see that you could have taken the opportunity to do this recently, as you installed 12.6 last month.

I know that it looks like a hassle, but the few hours you may take to do full backups, install a clean system, migrate and then install only what you really need will pay off in spades, by giving you a much more performing and stable mac.

If you are not ready to do that in the main drive, try a clean install on an external SSD, and test.

Any Third Party Applications that will interfere with the normal operation of the OS,  is an invitation for disaster and comprising the Operating System

Should be removed as per Developers Instructions

Intego AntiVirus

Read some of the posting and arrive at your own conclusions.

The The Built in Security  is all that is required.

Additionally, and specific to Big Sur macOS 11 and Monterey macOS 12, the Operating System resides in a Sealed and Read Only Volume that can not be opened by the User and protects against from “ Bad Actor “ Software.

The Only thing this Antivirus software is protecting is the Bank Account of the Developers and for zero return to the User aside from the problems this software creates.

AntiVirus Developers purposefully Market their product to create a “ Fear Factor “. In so doing, creating a False Need for their Product.
