Autocorrect in Safari Search

I recently got a new iPhone 14. When I type in the search bar on within a website, it autocorrects my typing. For instance, I try to type “Berhinger” and it auto corrects to “Behring we”.

I never had this issue on my old phone. I don’t want to turn off autocorrect on my entire phone. Suggestions?

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16

iPhone has a smart learning interface. It will learn your spelling preferences (for example unique name spellings and such). This is why you didn’t have to do it with your old phone, it already knew your spelling preferences. If you want to do this quickly (if “Berhinger” is a word you will type a lot) then type it into Safari or even a text several times then tap the correct/original spelling option that shows on the left of the spelling options line. This will teach your phone quickly. I hope this helps!
