Lost Element

Cannot locate the Clipboard? It is not in Finder anywhere I can see. 3 year old Imac with upgrades, an up to date.

In Finder, Edit > Show Clipboard.

Device name in Finder sidebar when it shouldn't be and not in the sidebar when it should be! I often come to my Mac and find that one of my external drives, Macintosh HD2 (a boot drive for another Mac), has disappeared from the sidebar, even though it is mounted. So I drag it back in. Then if I dismount (unmount) it, it stays in the sidebar. All the other drives work fine in this respect. Any ideas? macOS 12.7 (although I also had the same problem with 12.6.x) M1 24" 4-port iMac
