Apple Pencil

I sat on the tip of my Apple Pencil the wrong way and now the tip of it is very off-centered and crooked. I cannot get it off to look at the metal part inside.

As shown in your photo, the tip has been broken at an angle. Whether or not the critical transducer element remains functional is immaterial - as you will not be able to correctly position a replacement Pencil Tip.

The Pencil has been irreparably damaged by physical trauma. The only remedy is replacement.

If you have benefit of an active AppleCare+ plan for your iPad - and both the iPad and Pencil were purchased in the same transaction - then your AppleCare+ plan will provide coverage for accidental damage to the iPad and Pencil. Otherwise, your standard limited warranty will not provide any coverage for accidental damage to either your iPad or Apple Pencil.

It, also, looks like you bent the transducer/sensor tube, as well.

A trip to your “local”, nearest Apple Store location is, now, mandatory.

If your Apple Pencil is still under its one-year warranty period, you are still entitled to a free replacement Apple Pencil from Apple.

Use the “Get Support” link, at the upper right hand corner of every Apple Support Community Webpage to attempt to schedule an appointment with your nearest Apple Store location and bring in both iPad your defective Pencil.

Apple Store employees will be glad to help/assist you with getting another free, replacement Apple Pencil.

Test this Pencil in the Apple Store before you leave the store to make sure both your iPad and replacement Pencil are working together.

Sorry and Best of Luck to You!
