I recently bought a phone from a friend. He had factory reseted the phone but not sure why there was still a pin code required. What are the steps for me and my friend to reset the phone entirely so i can use for it as a work phone? Also its and I-Phone10X

Have this so-called friend of yours perform as instructed here: What to do Before you Sell, Give Away, or Trade In your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support. They should have known better.
