How to turn off automatic HDR video playback?

Some videos get extremely bright on apps such as Instagram or Reddit. My safest bet is that they are HDR videos, and iOS automatically tunes up the brightness to get that full contrast rario. However, I hate it. It blasts my eyes no matter the brightness, especially if at night, where even lowest brightness is too bright, let alone an HDR video taking over my display. Auto brightness, True Tone and Low Power mode do not help in any way. Is there any way to turn this annoying thing off, or is it just another “feature” shoved down our throats?
