I can't do that while driving
I am having a problem with Siri & shortcuts and what appears to be a safety feature on IOS 16. I have a gate, a long driveway, and an internet-enabled gate controller. I have created a shortcut that allows me to say, "Siri, open gate," and voila, like clockwork, it magically opens.
The problem is it ONLY works when I am NOT in my car, thus making this shortcut completely pointless and worthless and honestly rather irritating.
The reply I get from Siri is, "I can't do that while driving" UGH, so flipping terrible, defeating the whole purpose of the "safe driving" environment that Siri is trying to create. My only option when this feature does not work is to grab my phone, unlock it, open the app and manually press the button as if that is the safest option. Get it together, Apple, and at least let us have the option to override this dumb feature. First-world problems, I know.
My question is, is there any way to get this shortcut to work while the car is connected to carplay?
