Stop ios16 from automatically cropping my wallpapers?

How can I stop iOS16 from automatically cropping my wallpaper photos? I crop them specifically, but iOS16 wallpaper shuffle will crop them differently and I don’t want that.

Re: How can I stop iOS16 from automatically cropping my wallpaper photos?

Wondering if you are cropping the wallpaper to the exact dimensions required for the screen.

(The custom wallpapers would likely be the required dimensions (? cm high X ? cm wide) for the screen display.)

If not, that would explain why your photos are appearing cropped differently than you expected.

If you scroll down Apple Support's article:

Change the wallpaper on your iPhone - Apple Support

to

"Customize a Lock Screen wallpaper":

It gives Apple's method for customising the screen in iOS 16.

Apologies if this is the method you are already using.

In that case:

You might want to send feedback to Apple.

They will likely not reply,

yet your feedback will reach those who can actually make the changes

If others are requesting the change too, we may see changes in a future update.
