iPhone as a remote for an iPad app

My wife is a nurse and her job involves using her phone as a remote to change a display on her iPad while using an app for vision testing. Other coworkers have no trouble doing this, but my wife had only had success in one instance. Since that time we updated the iOS to 16.0.3 now the iPad doesn’t “see” her phone.

It’s frustrating to say the least. It make the job harder than it should be if the phone would connect.

Any ideas? Thank you.

As iOS/iPadOS has no direct support to control one device from another, the functionality that you describe must be App-related. As such, you need to identify the specific App with which you are having difficulty - and then seek assistance from the App developer or their associated support materials.
