"shake to undo" - can't disabled

Hello, l have new ipad (9th, iOS 15.5) and l can't turn off Shake function. I tapped the toggle switch next to ‘Shake to Undo’ to disable this feature off but still every time I shake it accidentally (or just put the ipad on table), the warning message keeps appearing. Of course l tried to turn off the device and on again.

iPad, iPadOS 15

Hello wontcha,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

We see that you are not using the latest iPadOS. We recommend you use the steps as listed here to update your iPad: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

  1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
  2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
  3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
  4. Choose the software update that you want to install. You can choose to stay on iOS or iPadOS 15 and still get important security updates. Or you can choose the option to upgrade to iOS or iPadOS 16.

If no issue resolution, please contact Apple Support here: Apple Support

Let us know if you have further questions.

Take care.

For iPad models with a Home button, do a simple hard reset/forced restart of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake/power button simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons.

Best of Luck to You!
