Email address sent as text message through SMS

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to send someone my email address via messages/SMS but can't. The recipient said she didn't receive any. I tried testing this myself, by sending a message with my email address on it to my own number, and I didn't receive as well. If the text message is incomplete, like name@, or name@example, it will go through. But when the address is complete like name@example.com, then it won't go through.

However, if I enable iMessage, there is no problem. Thing is, I don't want to enable iMessage because my carrier charges me.

In addition, sending URL addresses does not work either.

If you're unable to send messages, you can try these steps: If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If the problem is just with SMS messages and iMessage is working fine, then you'd want to contact your wireless carrier as the SMS service comes from them.

Hey TarballOS,

Understood. Just to confirm, are you sending to an Apple ID email address? If that is the case, you will need iMessage activated for the message to successfully send to that person.

Hi,

No. Any regular email address or URL, sent to another person via text/SMS. Please see sample text message below, I sent them to myself. If the email address is incomplete (last text, just for testing purposes), then it goes through.

Sorry, but let me clarify... I can send normal messages through SMS. My problem is just sending email addresses or URLs through SMS.
