why does touch id not work for my macbook

I have brought a MacBook with a problem regarding Touch ID. It docent work unless close my laptop without shutting down (closing the lid), but does not open when I turn it on. Any ideas on how to help?

Touch ID doesn't work since last os update I upgraded my macbook pro 14 to ventura version yesterday. But then the touch id doesn't work on my mbp. Are there any fixes to try? All fingerprints have already been removed. But now It won't scan when trying to add fingerprints again. Already booted in safe mode. but it's not worked
