I need to install a regular SIM card as the country I’m traveling to doesn’t support the esim yet

No, that’s not an option.

The physical sim card is obsolete.

According to Apple:

iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are not compatible with physical SIM cards.
