How do I actually contact support for a billing issue

What happens when you say “nothing seems to work”? Do you get an error message? What does it say?

On what device did you try to manage your payment methods?


Verify that your chosen payment method is valid for your country or region. Payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID (by country) - Apple Support

If you have subscriptions, then first add a new payment method, before trying to remove the former method, as subscriptions can’t be without payment method.

If you have subscriptions, then verify that this new payment method supports automatic and periodical charges (“pre-authorized”). Ask your bank/card issuer/financial institution if needed.

Verify that your new payment method is for (is issued in) the same country or region as is set for your account.

Verify that your new payment method allows for international charges in some cases (e.g. West European transactions go to Apple Ireland).
