iPad Deletes Annotations

I am increasingly frustrated with using my iPad to read my textbook in the "Files" app. I have on countless occasions lost hours of hard work due to an error that deletes my annotations.

Please Apple, focus on this issue. I have read dozens of other reports of this issue online. If you want to consider the iPad user-friendly, please, please, please fix this issue. This is so frustrating and has brought me to tears. I have concluded on using my MacBook to read my textbook and using "Preview" to merely highlight.

Furthermore, my iPad is up to date with the latest software, so that's not the issue. Fix this problem now. Stop focusing on the new iPhone, which unsurprisingly has had many issues. Focus on this problem with "Files" and annotations, which have been happening for years.

This is an issue that should not exist in 2022. Stop this issue, or I'll be forced to stop using your products.

I hope you take my thoughts and everyone else's who also have this issue into consideration. Please take the time to fix this issue. Stop ignoring all the posts online about this problem. Listen to the people.

Please listen to me! I only hope that this post will actually make a difference because I'm irritated with Apple. I have used your products for almost 10 years and this is my only complaint.

Your plea posted here will miss its target. Other than the site Moderators, Apple neither monitor nor participate within the Apple Support Community. Contributors here are all end-users, just like you.

Apple do invite submission of comments, suggestions and feature requests via its Product Feedback portal. Given your grievance, this is perhaps the most appropriate channel through which to make your feelings known to Apple. For iPad and iPadOS:

Feedback - iPad - Apple
