Ignore the package or contact Apple to let them know that you changed your mind. You will be charged the amount you were given as a trade in value if you used an Apple Card to get the value instantly. Otherwise, any amount that was going to be given by a carrier stretched out over the term (24 months or 36) will be reversed and you will pay the full monthly installment amount. If you paid in full upfront you of course just won’t get the refund you would have with the trade in.

Contact Apple Support:

Apple is expecting this in the mail. So, contact Apple Support letting them know that you no longer want trade-in to be your method of choice.

• Contact Us - Choose Locations
• Proceed from there as Necessary
• Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due do lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

Keep the unit instead of using the package.
