enable lock screen notifications but prevent them from waking up screen

Hi, just got my first iPhone (SE 2nd Gen 2020). I know this was already asked and answered as not an available option back in July (How to make notifications not wake screen… - Apple Community). Just wondering if iOS 16's lock screen enhancements include this functionality.

Seems like this would be a popular option... I had my last few Android phones setup just this way. I could peep notifications with just one touch of waking the screen, without the constant pocket dials and other unintentional presses from the screen constantly being woken up by the notifications themselves.
