Apple Watch stuck in pairing mode

I updated my iPhone to IOS 16 this morning. I then started the update on my Apple Watch to IOS 9 and it lost communication with my I phone. The watch is now stuck in pairing mode. I unpaired the watch from my I phone and tried to pair again and it can't find the watch. I tried over and over again to reset the watch and it just continues to go back to pairing mode. Please help me fix this.
