New Apple ID made me loose all of my pictures

I created a new Apple ID since my family had all shared one account. None of my pictures transferred over to my new Apple ID. How do I get them back?

How do I separate 2 iCloud accounts? I want to separate from a family members iCloud + account. Is it possible to keep all my photos, my plan is to buy my own iCloud Storage and somehow transfer it? Your pictures, if synced in iCloud, are still in the old iCloud account. Otherwise, you can recover from your device backups or original sources
