Outlook calendar widget stops updating once plugged in to charge

Does anyone else find that the outlook calendar widget stops updating when they plug in their phone to charge?

You can see in the attached image I started charging the phone around 10:50 pm, and the screenshot time is almost 11:30 pm but the widget time line is stuck at ~10:50 when the phone was plugged in. If I delete the widget and try to reinstall it just shows as blank.

I have to delete the app and reinstall, install the widget and then reboot the phone to get it going again.

anybody know any fixes? Microsoft support has been ineffective.

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16
