I use a windows keyboard for my Mac, but nothing happens when I press ctrl alt win and f12.Are this not the keys for control option command and eject? And if they are, why is it not working?

In any case, I don't believe a Windows keyboard has an eject key equivalent.
You may want to create your own shortcut.
