When Deleting Email from Iphone Mail (Exchange Account), does not delete it from my Mac Mail anymore

I have had this Macbook Pro for a few years now and I have multiple MS Exchange or Hotmail accounts that are on my Iphone and Mac Mail. When I delete an email from one of my MS Exchange account mailboxes on my Iphone, It not longer deletes it from the MacBook Mac Mail. The other accounts it does, its only this one account. I did not change anything to my knowledge, and I've done multiple searches on how to fix this and can't seem to figure it out. I deleted the email account from both devices and then added it back in to both devices, and still the same situation. All my other Hotmail/Exchange accounts are fine, I delete mail from my Iphone on them, and it syncs up with the Mac Mail and deletes it there as well. Its just this one Hotmail/Exchange account that it all of a sudden stopped doing it. Only thing I've recently done was updated to the latest OS Monterey 12.6.

I was going to sign out of my apple ID on the MacBook and sign back in, but when I click that it looks like it will remove all my photos, among other things, and such from my MacBook, and I don't want that. Kind of stuck here, anyone can help please?

Hi chris_s77,

The behavior you describe sounds like an email account that is configured to operate similar to a POP account instead of IMAP. In the former, copies of the messages are delivered to the devices but changes are not returned to the server to update other devices. If you check this account through the website access (if available) are the message deletions reflected there? Try deleting a message on the computer to see if the change is carried over to the iPhone. These tests will help verify if there may be a communication or setting preventing the transfer of information.

If changes made on either device do not reflect at the web access, the administrator of this Exchange account/server may need to review or adjust settings to restore your expected operation.

Regards.
