If you link the iPad pro with a charging USB cable between Mac and iPad Pro, at very minimum Image Capture can bring over photos and videos on your iPad Pro onto your Mac. Depending on whether or not your iPad Pro supports other features you may have Continuity, Airplay, Airdrop, file sharing over connected iCloud account, and others when both iPad Pro and Mac share the same iCloud account, WiFi, and Bluetooth connection. Lookup each service you are interested in sharing between the two devices if both the computer and installed iOS is possible on the iPad.
