If you've done all the steps in the link you posted from under 'If you need more help', including updating the iPhone to 16.1, then the next best thing to do is reach out to Apple directly here as they'd be able to provide the best help as all steps have been completed: Get Support

Its a fundamentally broken feature - it would be better if Apply simply admitted that it isn't ready in a stable condition at launch and let us know when they intend to release an update to fix it.
Apple did mutter something about the Apple iPhone being in a continuity camera ready state - so basically in a mount in landscape on a bracket on the laptop monitor.
But Laptops have cameras. The people who will use this the most are Mac mini users.
It works once and then it stops - that is the common feedback,
And this is honest feedback - you can't expect people who have used Mac for years to get stuck in the same logic loop set of fixes that don't work published on multiple Mac influencer threads.
Its broken - let us know when you intend to fix it.
This is the equivalent of the screen saver not working when Monterey launched - Apple simply would not admit it.
Correct, it's only working if you plug in the lightning cable to the computer, which defeats all its purpose.
