I have to press so hard on spacebar on iPhone 12 all of a sudden

Try an app in Landscape and see if you have the same problem with the keyboard.

If the spacebar works OK in Landscape then your screen has a fault in the area of the space bar in Portrait mode

arrange a repair and you should
