Ventura OS has trouble with sending screenshots via iMessage

Anyone else having problems since installing Ventura with sharing screenshots via iMessage?

Sending a screenshot as an iMessage in Ventura Since I updated to Ventura, I cannot send a screenshot as a text message. After I take the screenshot, I open it (for the image on the bottom right) and click on the share arrow. It comes up with all of the options to mail, message, etc. But, if I choose iMessage, it will disappear. Mail still works and if I choose a recent recipient in iMessage (choices along the top) it works. Any ideas?

Messages app (v 14.0 on MacOS Sonoma) does not send images I've recently updated to MacOS Sonoma, and when I'm attaching a photo to an iMessage, it appears to be sent on my side, but on the recipient's iPhone it does not appear, and no notification is sent to the remote device. I cannot even see the message on my phone. However these images can be seen in Messages on my Mac even after restarting the app. If I forward my own message (with the image) to the same recipient, the forwarded attachment magically appears. But if I drag-and-drop an image onto Messages or of I copy and paste an image or if I try to send a pasted screenshot to anyone, the behaviour is the same. It is very annoying. Does anyone else has the same issue?

iMessage has always had trouble with screen shots, especially when sharing with Androids. Enabling both SMS and MMS helps, but isn't perfect. The best solution I have found is to email it to your email your phone has and send the image via your phone.
