I completely reset my 2021 macbook air m1 and have attempted to download big sur now times and each time it has said there is an error to download, any fixes?

However after restarting and clicking op "Software Update" again, the message reads "Updates Available": macOS Big Sur 11.7.9 and Safari 16.6. But instead of "Start Download" it says "Herstart nu" (Restart Now), which invariably leads to the error "Downloaden mislukt" "Download Failed". No way can I reset the "Herstart nu" (Restart Now). Brand new MacBook Air 13” M3 - will not finish initial Sonoma 14.4.1 software update - error i just opened up my box with brand new MacBook Air M3 from the Apple Store today. The software version installed on bootup is Sonoma 14.3. So I got to see if there is a software update considering this is a new MacBook, it says Sonoma 14.4.1 is available….. after about ten minutes of the progress bar not moving , I get the error MacOS installer could not be downloaded. Contact apple support for assistance. yes I tried restarting etc…. Is this common? What do I do?

This copy of the Install macOS Monterey application is damaged, and can‘t be used to install macOS. I'm trying to upgrade from Mojave 10.14.6 on a 2019 MacBook Pro 13 inch, with 8GB memory and Intel Iris Plus graphics. I get the same error message whether I try to upgrade to Big Sur, or to Monterey - "This copy of the Install macOS XXXXX application is damaged, and can‘t be used to install macOS." (where XXXXX = Big Sur, or Monterey) I have tried deleting the install packages, as well as deleting from trash, re-booting and re-downloading the install packages - I get the same error messages. I have tried disabling my Norton anti-virus - same error messages. I have tried installing in Safe Mode - same error messages. Any help or advice much appreciated!
