External display issues over and over again...

I am connecting an external display using usb-c to display port 1.4 cable and sometimes it connects successfully and sometimes (most of the time) it does nothing. Any other device (including Windows and Linux notebooks) has no problems connecting using precisely the same cable (100% successful), only the expensive Macbook Pro M1 MAX has problems and is absolutely useless for work, which is an irony because we are talking about PRO model for f*ck sake! Solution? Apple? Will you ever fix it? I have been facing tons of issues with external displays on apple devices over the years and no one gives a f*ck. If someone from the community has a solution to this problem, please, let me know. Thanks.

I also noticed that it can detect the display in system preferences, but it immediately disconnects it and this process is running in the loop forever and the system is very unresponsive at the time the cable is plugged in.

Only the expensive Mac reads any errors received by the display (sent back over the secondary channel) and blanks out the display when it can not meet the Apple high standards for hardware-accelerated displays:

The Apple standard for its built-in hardware-accelerated displays, makes them suitable for full-motion video for production/display of cinema-quality video with NO dropped frames, and NO dropouts or partial-blank scan lines due to memory under-runs or other issues.

I suggest you try a different adapter. Here is one:

If it reads errors, then they should be provided to a user and the failed connection should be rejected and reported with some conclusion. Instead, it lets the system freeze, it is connecting and disconnecting the display in a stupid loop which causes the internal retina display to blink every two seconds indefinitely, and the whole UI is locked, for example, if I move some window by dragging, it jumps to the original position at the moment I release the touchpad button. Those are the high standards you are talking about? There are obviously bugs in the system because as I already mentioned, I had no such problems a few updates back.

There is no problem with the adapter, I have three TB to DP adapters and they are perfectly capable to handle a 4K 144Hz connection, which was successfully tested with another 5 laptops. Read other discussion threads, there are a bunch of similar problems, especially after the Ventura upgrade.

By design, the built-in display blinks when a new display is connected.

It sounds like your external display is disconnecting/reconnecting

If you are convinced this is a Ventura problem, can reproduce the issue on demand, and have satisfied yourself (typically by running in Safe Mode and having the problem occur there -- absent any third-party add-ons), then you are well prepared to contact Apple Support and work with them. Once the First responders have gone through their scripts, ask for a specialist.
