iPad MAC addresses

Why do I have two MAC addresses for one iPad? Is one address for the SIM card?

iPad Air, iPadOS 15

Each network interface (NIC) will have its own physical MAC Address - WiFi, Bluetooth, Cellular.

Recent versions of iOS/iPadOS also have the ability to “hide” the globally unique MAC Address (that might be used for profiling) of its WiFi NIC with a “Private WiFi Address” - this replacing the globally unique MAC with an internally generated “fake” MAC address.

By replacing the true MAC address - and periodically changing the Private WiFi [MAC] address, profiling is disrupted.
