Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!
The icon for the sun in the hourly forecast area now appears as red. I am not living on Krypton, so am puzzled why the sun is not yellow. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app (the standard Apple weather app) - no change.

it has to do with “high contrast” setting in Accessibility - Display & Text Size.

I’m now on iOS 16.1, but think this came with iOS 16.0
Funnily, sometimes it is yellow as in legacy version and I have not (yet) determined a pattern here.

Anyone else with red sun or who knows the idea behind?!
I have an iPhone 13 mini where this problem is appearing. I also have an iPhone SE that does not have the problem. Both are running iOS 16.1. If I switch the mini from light to dark mode the problem doesn’t appear - I see the yellow sun. The iPhone SE, though, always shows a yellow sun, regardless of light or dark mode.
I have this too, iPhone 13 mini running iOS 16.1. I know this is tiny in the greater scheme of things but I HATE it! Plus the red sun is harder to see. I am not going to switch my whole phone to dark mode. Give me my yellow sun back!

it’s a bug that darkens the sun color when Increase Contrast is ON. Sun is yellow when you set Increase Contrast OFF

Turn off “Increase Contrast” in b Display and Text Size - this will put back to normal ( yellow sun)
yup that def fixes it - but now messages are pretty faded, esp from non apple users......

I fixed it on my iPhone as well through accessibility… But I just was wondering why it only appeared reddish orange in the hourly forecast section but in 10 day forecast the sun was yellow! Strange.
