Hi..!
I bought an Apple Pencil gen 1 for iPad 9th gen but after unboxing it is showing zero charge but after charging for hours via iPad / usb cable it is showing zero charge.
what is wrong with it?
is it battery issue?
as it is a new products and looks like manufacturing defect can I get an replacement?

You might have gotten a new “old stock” Apple Pencil that may have been sitting in storage for a long time.
Since this is a brand new Pencil, you should easily be able to get another new Pencil from wherever you puchased.
You will need to contact the place you puchased from first.
If purchased, directly, from Apple, you should be able to obtain a new replacement Pencil
