Accessing files on Iseries AS400

Hey Guys this is a rehash of a similiar post that was archived and not answered. The problem however is the same as this user.,

I am running a Mac Pro (snow leopard 10.6.4) and I am successfully connecting to the ISearies AS400 server (file server) using the “connect to server” option under the Finder > Go. Here is where it gets weird – As I connect to the a particular folder on the server I can only see a portion of the files listed within the folder. On the Mac I see 34 files and on any Windows based computer I can see all the files 140 of them to be exact.

Any information you may have will be greatly appreciated.

Yes we are running a Samba Server, We attempted to configure with NFS however we were unable to get the IMAC to connect.

AS400 5.4

Mac and Windows Client username are identical. The MAC is able to authenticate to the AD domain as well and this is only a problem currently with the AS400.

I have tried to find some applciaitons that I can run natively without having to add Parallells to the system (I do not want to run Windows).

My company just recently got a bunch of macbook pros in, I've had a mac mini for some time. However, they are noticing the same issue with only a partial list of files showing when our AS400 server is connected. The share works fine on windows machines, but only a very limited set of files show on the apple machines.

Kind of a big issue for us, has there been any progress on this?
