Will OSX 10.13.6 work with ios 16?

Is OSX 10.13.6 compatible with iphone running ios 16?

Yes, even my older Mac, running OS X 10.11.6 does recognize an iPhone iOS 16.

But iTunes had to install an update before that:

If you see "Software update is required to connect to your iOS device" on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
