ventura photo albums missing when seeking attachments for other apps

I also had the same problem, I couldn't access my albums or videos, etc. But, after reading here I tried this:

I moved my cursor to the left side of the photos screen (the one with all my photos showing in the general folder) and left clicked when the left arrow appeared. Magically, the side menu appeared and I can now access all my folders and albums for my photos.

Are you using the Mail.app or a third-party app to send Mails?

when you are using Apple's Mail.app, click the Photo browser icon in the toolbar to attach a photo from your Photos Library. The albums should appear into upper part of the panel. You may need to adjust the separator line between the albums and the image icons to be able to see the albums.

You can also select the photos in Photos, then use the Share button in Photos to send an email. It is easier to start in Photos.

I would suggest for the time being you both export the images you want to attach to a folder, then attach them to the email from there.

This is what's happening to me too. And then when I double click on the pic nothing happens. It does not attach to the email. In addition, if I drag and drop the photo into the body of the email, the receiver cannot see it. I use Mac mail.
