Ipad air 4 stage manager?
Why doesn’t the iPad air 4 support stage manager? Is it a technical thing (f.e. to little ram, which I doubt) or is it a software blocked feature that could work on the iPad if apple allows it.

Feature availability is usually limited by system hardware - CPU and available RAM being critical to advanced functionality such as Stage Manager.

Would be amazing if we could give suggestions to Apple... Maybe we could have said that we actually wanted the Stage manager too. But unfortunately that isn't the case. (I also have a new iPad Air 4 256)
No one promised stage manager compatibility for the iPad Air 4th gen. The 5th gen iPad Air was released 7 months ago, 3 months before Stage Manager was announced. At that time the iPad Air 4th gen was discontinued for sale by Apple.
Unfortunately it is a hardware limitation. There is a difference between the A12X processor and the other A series processors. In fact, it was the basis for the M1. This is the reason that some older devices may be able to run it while newer devices are not able to do so.

But why isn’t it supported?
Thank you for your help!
You are very welcome.
I have a brand new air 4, was promised compatibility, and…Nope.
