Reachability iPhone 8 - IOS16

Hi, seems I can't use the reachability feature (double tap to lower your top half screen) anymore after updating to IOS16 on my iPhone 8.

And yes I double checked, it's turned on.

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks for reaching out thalia107,

It sounds like you're having some trouble with the Reachability feature on your iPhone 8. We can help.

Let's start by making sure we are following these steps to Reach the top of the iPhone screen with one hand:

1. Go to Settings  > Accessibility > Touch, then turn on Reachability.

2. To lower the top half of the screen, do one the following:
- On an iPhone with Face ID: Swipe down on the bottom edge of the screen.
- On an iPhone with a Home button: Lightly double-tap the Home button.

3. To return to the full screen, tap the upper half of the screen.

If those steps still don't resolve the issue, you can Contact Apple for support and service.

Hope that helps.

Take care.
